Ok so at school we started a country report and I chose the Netherlands. The same week it was due we also had math homework due, which I think in every students opinion our teachers should NEVER do something like that EVER again! My class didn't even get the supplies we needed for the report from my teacher until the Monday before it was due! I couldn't work on my report on Monday because first of all I had violin lessons 'til like 4:45, then I went to babysit, our family ate dinner, had FHE, I worked on my math a little, then went to bed. So there was no time to work on it. I couldn't work on it on Tuesday either: I cam home, went to guitar, babysat(again), ate dinner then had YW.
Here comes Wednesday, and I have nothing done on my report, so I'm kinda freaking out. I get all my things and myself settled at the computer around 3:00-- At like 7:30 my friend calls and asks if I want to come with her family to clean the church-- You should have been there to see how fast I said yes! I was done with that report!! 4 1/2 hours is enough for me! But while I was working on it I realized I needed to find a recipe from my country, and I found this
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
salt to taste
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 F (175 degrees C).
Cream together the butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla.
Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Add to sugar mixture and mix well, being careful not to over mix.
Drop heaping teaspoonfuls of dough on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten each with the tines of a fork (dip fork into small bowl of water so that dough doesn't stick to fork). Do this once or twice, depending on the size of cookie and fork.
Bake for 13 to 15 minutes. After each pan is removed from oven, carefully place 5 or 6 chocolate chips on top of each cookie while they are still hot. When chocolate is glossy and soft, spread with knife.
I haven't really had time to try them, sooo, if someone wants to make these and tell me if their any good or if it's worth making-- go for it! It doesn't seem to hard or like it will take a lot of time but my life is still crazy (or so it seems)
Thursday I spent another 4 hours working on the report and it still wasn't finished! And I was ok, my teacher let us work on it in class on Friday, so yeah. It all works out in the end. Yesterday was kinda my relax day for the week and today I get to go babysitting again tonight, and that's pretty much it.
those cookies look really good i think i might try them i think you should to
